More Than 1,000 Military Families Turned Out as USO Tour Veterans Performed Three Hard Hitting USO Shows

Twitter Pitch: @Seetheroffical rocks out with troops and military families on @the_USO tour to Italy and Turkey. See pix, http://bit.ly/yc9AJ8!

Rockers Shaun Morgan, Dale Stewart and John Humphrey of Seether recently found time to boost troop morale and deliver smiles to military families on USO/Armed Forces Entertainment tour to Italy and Turkey despite grueling tour schedule. Having broken away from the Time of My Life Tour with 3 Doors Down to participate in their third USO tour, the USO tour veterans extended America’s gratitude and spread cheer.

DETAILS:

In all, the multi-platinum rock band visited and entertained more than 1,000 airman, soldiers and their families stationed at Incirlik Air Base, Aviano Air Base and Camp Darby.

Forever changed by the service men and women they met during their first USO tour to Japan in 2009, Seether traveled to Hawaii and Guam in December 2010. In all, the band has lifted the spirits of more than 8,500 Marines, soldiers, sailors, airmen, Coast Guardsmen and reservists.

Formed in 1999, Seether released their fifth studio album “Holding on to Strings Better Left to Fray” in May 2011. The album reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 Charts and Seether went on to be named No. 1 Active and Heritage Rock Artist of 2011 by Billboard. Touring throughout North American for the past five months, Seether will kick off Live Nation’s “Here & Now 2012 Tour” with Nickleback, BUSH and My Darkest Days in Moline, IL on April 10.

Seether released their first U.S. album “Disclaimer” in 2002, quickly becoming a favorite on rock radio and selling more than 5-million records worldwide. Among some of their many chart-topping No. 1 hits, are “Remedy,” “Fake It,” “Rise Above This,” “Country Song” and “Tonight” as well as the gold certified single “Broken” and “Careless Whisper.”

QUOTE:

Attributed to Seether frontman Shaun Morgan:

“Touring with the USO and spending time with our men and women in uniform never gets old. No matter how busy we become or how many days we are out on the road – we will always find time to volunteer with the USO and extend our thanks to troops and their families.”

People First Productivity Solutions Launches CONNECT! Coaching Tools for Leaders and Selling Professionals Seeking Development & Personal Insights

People First Productivity Solutions Launches CONNECT! Coaching Tools for Leaders and Selling Professionals Seeking Development & Personal Insights

(PRWEB) March 21, 2012

People First Productivity Solutions, a central California coaching and consulting firm that “builds organizational strength by putting people first,” has launched a new suite of products designed to help selling professionals and individuals develop professionally and personally. The free program, CONNECT!, offers daily tips, weekly blog posts, a bi-weekly radio show, and a monthly newsletter. Additionally, individuals can participate in Linked In group discussions and select premium services like the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and related 1-on-1 coaching for additional support.

The strategy of offering free and low-cost tools to individuals is designed, according to company president Deb Calvert, “to give people who want to continually learn and develop easy access to practical tips, encouragement, and a community of like-minded people.”

To support this program, People First partnered with Striking Web Inc., a full service website development company based in the Bay Area, for extensive web site redesign and to build a stronger social media presence.

Early demand for the CONNECT! program surfaced after participants completed People First’s leadership and sales training programs. Over the past six years, Calvert said, “I’ve stayed in touch with hundreds of people who just want to stay connected to the learning and growth opportunities they had while participating in formal training and coaching. Many of them express an interest in sharing what they’ve learned… with people in other companies, with people who don’t work outside the home, and with a wide variety of individuals who simply don’t have resources like this.”

The CONNECT! strategy rounds out the programs offered by People First Productivity Solutions for training, coaching, consultant and assessment work. Consultants and trainers with People First work in numerous industries, with a particular focus in the media and produce/agriculture industries in North America, South America and Europe.

About: People First Productivity Solutions was founded in 2006 by Deb Calvert, formerly a corporate executive with a Fortune 500 company. People First Productivity Solutions provides leadership development, management, and sales training along with coaching for executives, teams, and selling professionals.

BusinessLoans123.com: New Web Site Offers Businesses an Alternative to Secure a Loan

BusinessLoans123.com: New Web Site Offers Businesses an Alternative to Secure a Loan

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) March 16, 2012

The field of small business lending has changed in recent history and continues to evolve. In the wake of financial disaster “the great recession” has caused, the methods of getting a business loan is now more likely to come from smaller banks, and incorporate the use of technology to lend. The article titled “Bank Size, Lending Technologies, and Small Business Finance” by Allen N. Berger and Lamont K. Black, says that the current pattern in small business lending research shows that large banks tend to specialize in lending to relatively large, informationally transparent firms using “hard” information, while small banks have advantages in lending to smaller, less transparent firms using “soft” information. The new site BusinessLoans123 strives to connect businesses with loans that fit its direct need, size and amount. It achieves this with its flexibility in options.

Rather than target a specific business, the site aims to cater to the needs of all businesses in need of a loan. The site offers a simple application process, and guarantees the potential bower to receive a call back within one business day from a business consultant. Based on the potential borrower’s type of business, length of time in business, business credit, and other factors, the site will match the borrower with the best lending option for a business loan.

The site BusinessLoans123.com prides itself on taking a complicated process and simplifying it in a way that allows the borrower to get the best option available in the shortest amount of time. Requirements to receive a business loan include, the applicant must be the current business owner, the applicant must have owned that business for at least 1 year, and must process at least $ 3,000 a month in visa or MasterCard purchases.

New Book Urges Readers to See God?s Hand in Every Situation

New Book Urges Readers to See God’s Hand in Every Situation

Maitland, FL (PRWEB) March 14, 2012

Every individual, at some point, questions why and how bad things happen to good people. Kimberly A. Sanderson’s new book, Blessings in the Storm ($ 14.99, paperback, 978-1-61996-465-5; $ 22.99, hardcover, 978-1-61996-466-2; $ 7.49, eBook, 978-1-61996-467-9), encourages readers to see that God is extraordinary in how He interacts with people. He goes out of His way, but sometimes it is hard to recognize His hand in every situation. This book will provide healing, freedom, hope and most importantly it will help readers gain a deeper understanding not only of who they are to God, but who God is to them.

“I hope readers come away knowing how unique and valuable they are to God [and that] they are released from trying to fit a mold that God never intended for them and return the favor to God,” states the author. “If you have ever thought or asked any of the following questions: why is God doing this to me, what did I do wrong or why is God allowing this to happen to me, this book is for you.”

Kimberly A. Sanderson currently resides in South Carolina with her husband Jerry. She is a minister, elder and secretary on the governing board at Healing Waters church where she preaches, teaches and maintains the church website. Out of Print: Printing in the US Industry Market Research Report Now Available from IBISWorld

Out of Print: Printing in the US Industry Market Research Report Now Available from IBISWorld

IBISWorld Market Research

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) March 10, 2012

The Printing industry has contended with a variety of challenges over the past five years. Consumers are increasingly favoring digital alternatives, such as online media, over printed materials. IBISWorld industry analyst Caitlin Moldvay says, “For many media products, the printed word has proven to be too slow to produce and too costly to distribute. As a result, newer forms of media have been leeching away this industry’s demand.” With revenue declining at an annualized rate of 5.5% in the five years to 2012, the Printing industry as a whole is in decline. During 2012, however, a moderate rebound in economic conditions is expected to lead to a short-term revenue boost, with revenue gaining 0.5% during the year to an estimated $ 79.6 billion.

Over the past five years, declining sales volumes and downward pressure on unit selling prices have hampered industry profit margins, says Moldvay. Further crippling the industry, printing requires substantial capital investments in new technology to remain competitive, even at times of excess capacity. Such overcapacity has led to industry consolidation. Although the Printing industry is highly fragmented, throughout the 1990s and 2000s, there has been an increase in market share concentration due to mergers and acquisitions. This industry is expected to continue consolidating due to overcapacity and the rapid pace of technological change and digital media adoption. Furthermore, rising barriers to entry and increasingly strategic and complex relationships with customers will also contribute to industry consolidation over the next five years. In the five years to 2012, the number of firms operating in the industry is expected to fall to 26,176. Industry consolidation has allowed the larger printers to adopt more efficient equipment while slashing employment and wages. These trends were exemplified when Quad/Graphics acquired World Color Press in July 2010. The company subsequently closed several plants and reduced its employee headcount by 2,200. Plant closures have caused industry employment to fall in the five years to 2012 to 463,904 employees.

The industry is projected to continue its decline in the five years through 2017, though at a slower pace. Substitutes to commercially printed material, such as online media and advertising, will continue to adversely affect industry activity. The industry will also continue to struggle as digital media replaces paper products. In order to adapt to declining demand, printers will diversify into cross-media products, including multimedia layout and design. Veterans Advantage

Veterans Advantage® Offers Discount Prescription Plan as Alternative in Walgreen’s Rx Health Care Shortfall

Greenwich, CT (PRWEB) March 06, 2012

Veterans Advantage Inc., a nationwide membership program providing new service benefits for U.S. Active Duty Military, Veterans, National Guard & Reservists and their families, today announced that its prescription drug benefit plan continues to represent a significant cost effective alternative for the country’s military veterans and their families who have Express Scripts plans, and are now denied prescription drug insurance coverage at Walgreen’s, the nation’s largest pharmacy chain with more than 8,200 outlets in the United States operating under the Walgreen’s and Duane Reade names.

“Prescription drug expenses continue to be a national crisis, and this latest coverage shortfall reveals another way Veterans Advantage can help military families ease their financial burdens,” said Scott Higgins, founder and CEO of Veterans Advantage, a Vietnam veteran. “We are committed to offsetting high drug costs for all who served our country and their families.”

The national membership program’s response is to reports that Walgreen’s customers are being greatly impacted by the loss of Express Scripts coverage, best known as the pharmacy benefit manager for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA), a federation of 38 separate health insurance organizations and companies in the United States, that directly or indirectly provide health insurance to over 99 million Americans. Veterans Advantage’s free Prescription Drug Discount Card is accepted at all Walgreen’s Pharmacy locations, and represents a valuable savings alternative for all military veterans, National Guard, Reservists and their family members looking to fill their prescription at the national drug store chain.

“Through a host of reasons, including geographic, consumers should not be shut out of getting their prescription drugs from one leading pharmacy chain or another,” Higgins added. “That’s why we feel it is important for Veterans Advantage’s prescription drug plan – with its 56,000 pharmacies covered nationwide, including Walgreens – continue to deliver the power of choice and continued savings at these locations for our members.”

The Veterans Advantage Drug Discount Card program is made possible through the participation of U.S. pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies. The program provides members with average savings of 30% off, with savings as high as 75% on some medications. The Card may also be used as a supplement for insured prescription plans to cover non-formulary prescriptions or used as a Medicare Part D supplement.

As a further benefit for its members, Veterans Advantage’s prescription drug savings plan covers pre-existing conditions, and has no restrictions or eligibility requirements, no age no income requirements/limits, no waiting periods, no exclusions, no claim forms to file, no annual or lifetime limits/maximums. It includes discounts on brand and generic medications, and has open formulary, so all medications are eligible for discounts.

Finally, through the Veterans Advantage “Health & Wellness” benefits savings package, VetRewards Card members receive $ 50,000 in complementary medical travel coverage, and host of preventative health solutions: everyday savings on leading health clubs fees, discounts on vitamins and supplements from GNC.com, contact lens discounts, and athletic footwear, apparel and gear from Foot Locker, Lady Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, Foot Action, Champs Sports, Eastern Mountain Sports, Coleman and Orvis.

About Veterans Advantage

Veterans Advantage, organized by U.S. Military Veterans in 1999, has established the nation’s leading card benefits program dedicated to “Giving Back to All Who Serve.” The program’s mission is to deliver new respect, recognition, and rewards for U.S. Active Duty, Military Veterans, Retired Military, Active and Retired National Guard & Reservists, and their family members, who have served in all branches and periods of service. Those who enroll receive a benefits package with a personalized military ID card, benefits directory, bonus offers, and significant savings benefits as a thank you for service to the country from top patriotic companies. The prescription drug discounts come to members as part of Veterans Advantage‘s “Free Bonus with Membership” package, which also includes $ 55,000 of Travel & Accident insurance, VIP Concierge Services and personal financial planning services from John Hancock.

Qualified applicants can enroll at http://www.veteransadvantage.com.

L.A.D, a.k.a LA The Darkman, Releases ?Midwest Kush: Pyrex Edition Pt. 2? Mixtape Presented by Coast 2 Coast Mixtape Promotions

L.A.D, a.k.a LA The Darkman, Releases “Midwest Kush: Pyrex Edition Pt. 2” Mixtape Presented by Coast 2 Coast Mixtape Promotions

Miami, FL (PRWEB) March 03, 2012

Rap artist L.A.D, a.k.a LA The Darkman recently released his mixtape “Midwest Kush: Pyrex Edition Pt. 2.” Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes, Embassy Ent., and Aphilliates Management present the project, which is now available for free download. “Midwest Kush Pt. 2” features L.A.D on tracks with Jim Jones, S-Class Sonny, Method Man, Birdman, Bow Tie, and Kool G Rap.

As a teenager in New York City, the Crown Heights, Brooklyn-bred emcee born Lason Jackson negotiated his first deal just as he was finishing high school. Having studied the game as a protégé of the Wu at the height of their success LA, who considers RZA a mentor, was more than prepared when an in-studio freestyle on Hot 97’s “The Stretch and Bobbito Show” drew the attention of major and indie labels alike. Securing a distribution deal through Navarre Distribution, he released his debut album Heist of the Century in 1999 through his own Embassy Entertainment. The project, on which LA also served as A&R and executive producer, went on to sell over 350,000 copies independently. His success gave him an opportunity to tour internationally with the likes of Jay-Z, 50 Cent, and of course, the Wu-Tang Clan. Somehow, while he never stopped being an artist, LA’s career as a businessman took precedence. Relocating to Grand Rapids, MI, LA launched a management company, invested in real estate, and opened and operated a children’s clothing store. But he was always a musician.

Upon relocating to Atlanta, he partnered with DJ Drama and DJ Sense, brokering a label deal for the Aphilliates Music Group, a burgeoning brand which positioned itself at the forefront of the southern hip hop movement and is also home to his younger brother Willie The Kid, the label’s flagship artist. Upon securing AMG’s partnership with Atlantic Records, LA also negotiated a joint venture deal for Embassy Entertainment with Universal Records and a distribution agreement for Aphilliates Management through Asylum/Warner Brothers. He immediately took the reigns, rapidly assuming the role that has him heavily involved in the day-to-day operations of AMG, Aphilliates Management, and Embassy Entertainment. In addition to A&R direction for all of the label’s projects,

negotiating booking engagements, and brokering deals like DJ Drama’s endorsements with LRG, Pepsi and KFC, LA also executive produced the highly anticipated Gangsta Grillz: The Album. Deemed an instant street classic, the project featured appearances by Outkast, Lil’ Wayne, T.I., Young Jeezy, Nelly, Rick Ross, and Pharell.

Still, LA The Darkman remains as much a musician as he is a businessman. As he became more involved with the careers of the artists on the AMG roster, he again got the urge to create an album. Returning as a mature, more complete artist, LA continues to represent the same principles and convictions he always has. His is music that seeks to educate while entertaining, pushing the importance of strength, knowledge, and financial independence. His primary aim, however, is to continue to help hip hop grow. And with the added resources brought to his Embassy imprint through a joint venture with Steve Rifkin’s SRC Records, distributed through the Universal Music Group, LA is once again set to take the world by storm.
